| Unlike traditional acupuncturists, Shems combines needling with essential oils and hands-on body work to explore limitations in movement and messages from the body. Shems encorporates multiple modalities using curiosity and inquiry to discern the most supportive path to vitality.
Shems holds a masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is licenced by the California State Acupuncture Board and the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Previous to attending Five Branches Institute, Shems studied nutrition and barefoot shiatsu under the mentorship of Dale Belvin as well as receiving his massage certification from the Acupressure Institute. |
