Sarah Uma

Sarah Kane’s ecstatic energy and feminine playfulness inspire others to feel the freedom of their own unique creative expression. She is driven by her passion to serve and awaken the consciousness of our Divine Nature. Sarah has been teaching movement practices for over thirty years using movement as a tool for communication, clarity and creative expression. She worked in the health and fitness fields for fifteen years as a personal trainer and instructor. Her practice evolved from fitness to spiritual fullness. She taught yoga for fifteen years, her primary certification is through Kripalu Yoga Center. Her yoga practice was greatly influenced by her work with Angela Farmer, creator of the video The Feminine Unfolding. Through the “teacher un-training,” as Angela calls it, Sarah began to dissolve her physically structured asana into a more fluid, intuitive movement. She has currently been certified as a yoga laughter leader, expanding her play practice. By building a bridge between dance and Somatic Movement, Sarah unites the body, mind and spirit in unique and creative ways. She has studied Continuum Movement for over ten years, the last five years studying directly with the creator, Emilie Conrad. Emilie’s teachings have inspired Sarah and deepened her knowledge that “Movement is more then what we do; it is what we are.”

Sarah’s work as a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy practitioner, a Reiki Master, and a Priestess have infused her healing practice with the awareness of the innate wisdom that is held in every body’s temple.

Her personal journey of the feminine unfolding has guided her deeper into the Feminine mysteries. Her experience as a Priestess of the Goddess has been under the mentorship of Ariel Spilsbury. Ariel is the author of The Mayan Oracle, Return Path to The Stars and The 13 Moon Oracle. Sarah has apprenticed with Ariel for over 5 yrs, deepening her embodiment of the thirteen archetypal faces of The Divine Feminine. Through this lineage she has been ordained as a Priestess. Sarah has held sacred temple space for women’s circles; performed weddings, memorial services and baby blessings. She is a Ceremonial Priestess that holds space for global oneness and the awakening of the Divine Feminine. Sarah and her daughter have joined forces in their passion to serve the empowerment of women in creating a micro-loan group in Africa called the Bank of HOPE giving 13 women the tools to create sustainability through a fair trade market place. She believes that as one moves out of poverty into prosperity we all do. She has co-facilitated retreats in sacred places all over the world, teaching that we are the sacred place, we are the temple, no matter where we are. Sarah is a free-spirit that loves life and loves to play with other Divine children. She currently resides in the paradise of Santa Barbara.
